Terremoto de magnitude 4,0 atinge região de Delhi-NCR
Um terremoto de magnitude 4,0 foi sentido na região de Delhi-NCR na manhã de segunda-feira. De acordo com o Centro Nacional de Sismologia (NCS), o epicentro do terremoto foi na área de Dhaula Kuan, em Delhi, a uma profundidade de 5 quilômetros. O terremoto ocorreu às 5h36 da manhã, e seus tremores foram sentidos em toda a região de NCR, incluindo Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad, Gurugram e Faridabad. Durante o terremoto, um som alto também foi ouvido, fazendo com que as pessoas saíssem de suas casas em pânico.
O primeiro-ministro Narendra Modi apelou às pessoas para manterem a calma e seguirem as precauções de segurança. Ele também aconselhou a ficar alerta para possíveis réplicas. A polícia de Delhi divulgou o número de emergência 112 para assistência.
Após o terremoto, as pessoas compartilharam suas experiências nas redes sociais. Muitos relataram que os tremores foram tão fortes que os acordaram do sono. No entanto, até agora, não há relatos de danos ou perda de vidas.
A área de Dhaula Kuan está localizada na zona sísmica IV, considerada sensível a terremotos de moderados a fortes. Anteriormente, em 2015, um terremoto de magnitude 3,3 foi registrado nesta área. Segundo especialistas, a região experimenta pequenos terremotos a cada dois ou três anos.
