Terremoto de magnitude 4,0 sacode Delhi-NCR e causa pânico entre os moradores
Um terremoto de magnitude 4,0 foi sentido na manhã de segunda-feira em Delhi-NCR, causando pânico entre as pessoas. O epicentro do terremoto foi na área de Dhaula Kuan, em Delhi, e sua profundidade foi de apenas 5 quilômetros. De acordo com o Centro Nacional de Sismologia (NCS), o terremoto ocorreu às 5h36 da manhã e seus tremores foram sentidos por cerca de 35 segundos. Devido ao terremoto, muitas pessoas saíram de suas casas, embora até agora não haja notícias de qualquer tipo de dano ou perda de vidas.
Segundo especialistas, o impacto do terremoto foi mais sentido porque seu epicentro estava dentro da cidade e ocorreu a uma profundidade muito rasa. Delhi-NCR está na Zona Sísmica IV, que é considerada sensível a terremotos de moderados a intensos. O diretor do NCS, Dr. OP Mishra, informou que pequenos terremotos já ocorreram anteriormente na área de Dhaula Kuan e que a região é geologicamente ativa. Ele disse que há uma possibilidade de tremores de magnitude 1,2 após este terremoto, o que é normal.
O Primeiro-Ministro Narendra Modi apelou às pessoas para manterem a calma e estarem alertas para possíveis tremores. A polícia de Delhi e o serviço de bombeiros também não relataram nenhuma emergência. Após o terremoto, as pessoas compartilharam suas experiências nas redes sociais, e muitos expressaram surpresa com a intensidade do tremor.
Nos últimos anos, Delhi-NCR tem sentido vários tremores de terra. Em 2020, vários terremotos de magnitude 3,5 a 4,4 ocorreram nesta região. Além disso, os tremores do terremoto de magnitude 7,8 que atingiu o Nepal em 2015 também foram sentidos em Delhi. Especialistas afirmam que a possibilidade de terremotos nesta região permanece, portanto, as pessoas devem estar cientes das medidas de segurança.
