The surgery, a craniotomy, involves temporarily removing a portion of the skull to access and remove the cyst. McCall noted that while she has known about the tumour for a few months, she initially avoided facing the gravity of the situation.
In her video, she reassured her fans that she remains in “good spirits” and has confidence in her surgical team. McCall explained she will spend around nine days in the hospital following the operation and will be off social media during her recovery. Her partner, Michael Douglas, pledged to keep followers updated on her condition, emphasising her strength and the support they have received from friends and fans alike.
Colloid cysts typically form in the brain’s fluid-filled cavities and can disrupt the normal flow of cerebrospinal fluid, leading to various symptoms, including headaches and memory issues. Although benign, they can still pose serious health risks if left untreated.
