A horse-drawn carriage carried Payne’s coffin adorned with floral tributes, including one shaped like ten-pin bowling equipment, reflecting his love for the sport.

In an emotional Instagram tribute shortly after his death, Cassidy described Payne as her “best friend and the love of my life.” She revealed they had plans to marry, sharing a note from him that expressed his hopes for their future together. Cassidy expressed her heartbreak and struggle to cope with his absence, stating, “I’ve gained a guardian angel. I will love you for the rest of my life and beyond.”

The investigation into Payne’s death is ongoing, with preliminary reports indicating he suffered multiple injuries and that three people have been charged in connection with the incident.
