Army Veteran Leanne Quigley Triumphs on The Traitors

Leanne Quigley, a 28-year-old army veteran and mother from Holywell, Flintshire, has emerged as one of the winners of the third series of The Traitors. Alongside fellow contestant Jake Brown, Leanne secured a share of the £94,600 prize pot after a tense final episode filled with twists and turns. The pair, both Faithfuls, outlasted their competitors in the BBC reality show, which sees contestants navigate a game of deception, trust, and strategy.

Leanne, who served in the British Army for over 12 years before leaving in October 2023, kept her military background a secret during the show, instead posing as a nail technician. Her strategic gameplay and resilience earned her a spot in the final, where she and Jake decided to banish their fellow Faithfuls, Francesca Rowan-Plowden and Alexander Dragonetti, to secure their victory. The final challenge saw Leanne showcase her physical prowess by hanging from a helicopter to drop bags of cash into a flaming ring, adding £21,000 to the prize fund.

Outside the show, Leanne has faced significant personal challenges. She and her fiancée, Sophie, are parents to twin boys born prematurely in January 2023. The couple endured a difficult period when Sophie was diagnosed with grade 3 breast cancer in July 2024. However, in January 2025, Sophie was declared cancer-free, a moment Leanne described as the “best news” they could have received. Leanne plans to use her share of the prize money for IVF treatment to expand their family, hoping for a smoother experience after the challenges of her first pregnancy.

Leanne’s journey on The Traitors has resonated with viewers, who have praised her strength and determination. Her victory, alongside Jake, marks a triumphant end to a series filled with drama, suspicion, and high-stakes gameplay. The show, hosted by Claudia Winkleman, continues to captivate audiences, with over 10 million viewers tuning in for the latest series.
