Severe Weather Warnings Issued for Burnham-On-Sea
The Met Office has issued two yellow weather warnings for the Burnham-On-Sea area tomorrow (Sunday, January 26th). The first warning, for high winds, is in place from 8am until 3pm, with gusts expected to reach 50-60 mph widely, and up to 70 mph in exposed coastal and hilly areas. A second warning for heavy rain will be in effect from 8am Sunday until 6am Monday, with 10-20 mm of rainfall expected widely, and up to 30-50 mm in some areas, particularly over high ground. The Met Office has warned that this additional rainfall, following recent heavy rain, could lead to localised surface water and river flooding. Residents are advised to take precautions and stay updated on weather developments.
