A single UK ticket-holder has won the £83 million EuroMillions jackpot in Friday night’s draw, marking the first UK jackpot win of 2025. The winning numbers were 02, 11, 19, 30, and 49, with the Lucky Star numbers 03 and 08. The lucky player matched all five main numbers and both Lucky Stars to secure the life-changing prize of £83,474,081.80.
Andy Carter, senior winners’ advisor at Allwyn, the operator of The National Lottery, described the win as “amazing” and urged players to check their tickets. “This lucky winner represents the first UK EuroMillions jackpot win of 2025, what a way to start the year,” he said. “Players are urged to check their tickets and to give us a call if they think they are tonight’s lucky winner.”
The winner now faces the decision of whether to go public with their win or remain anonymous, a choice many previous jackpot winners have opted for. Tuesday’s upcoming EuroMillions jackpot is estimated at £14 million.
This win, while substantial, falls short of the record-breaking £195 million jackpot won by an anonymous UK player in July 2022. Other notable wins include the £184 million prize claimed by Joe and Jess Thwaite from Gloucester in May 2022 and the £177 million jackpot won by another anonymous UK player in November 2023.
