UK Ticket-Holder Wins £83 Million EuroMillions Jackpot

A single UK ticket-holder has won the £83 million EuroMillions jackpot in Friday’s draw, marking the first UK jackpot win of 2025. The winning numbers were 02, 11, 19, 30, and 49, with the Lucky Stars being 03 and 08. The winner matched all five main numbers and both Lucky Stars to claim the life-changing prize of £83,474,081.80.

Andy Carter, senior winners’ advisor at Allwyn, the operator of The National Lottery, described the win as “amazing” and a “fantastic way to start the year.” He urged players to check their tickets and contact the National Lottery if they believe they are the lucky winner.

The win, while significant, falls short of the UK’s record EuroMillions jackpot of £195 million, won by an anonymous ticket-holder in July 2022. Other notable wins include the £184 million jackpot claimed by Joe and Jess Thwaite from Gloucester in May 2022 and the £177 million prize won by another anonymous UK player in November 2023.

The EuroMillions draw takes place every Tuesday and Friday, with tickets costing £2.50. Players are automatically entered into the UK Millionaire Maker draw, which guarantees new millionaires each week. The jackpot can rise to €190 million (approximately £167 million).

This latest win has sparked excitement among UK players, with many now checking their tickets in hopes of securing the next big prize.
