The 51-year-old singer was performing at the Showbox as part of the band’s Raze The Bar North American Tour when he twisted his ankle while stepping off stage to wave goodbye to the crowd. Healy was wheeled out of the venue on a stretcher and taken to hospital, where it was confirmed that he had suffered a severe sprain rather than a break.
In a video shared on the band’s social media, Healy reassured fans that he was recovering and would continue with the tour. He explained that he was wearing a walking boot and taking painkillers but remained determined to perform, stating, “The show must go on.” The iconic Scottish band, known for hits such as Why Does It Always Rain On Me?, is set to continue its tour, with upcoming shows in Salt Lake City and Denver.
This incident follows a previous injury in 2021, when Healy underwent emergency surgery after being bitten by a sausage dog, leaving him temporarily unable to play guitar. Despite the setback, Healy remains in good spirits, even joking about watching Antiques Roadshow during his recovery.
