Beterbiev vs Bivol Rematch; Undisputed Light-Heavyweight Title Clash in Riyadh
Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol are set to reignite their rivalry in a highly anticipated rematch for the undisputed light-heavyweight title on Saturday, 22 February 2025, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The event, billed as one of the greatest boxing cards in history, will also feature Joseph Parker stepping into the ring against Martin Bakole after Daniel Dubois withdrew due to illness. The fights will be broadcast live on Sky Sports Box Office in the UK, with undercard action available to stream for free from 3pm.
Beterbiev, who holds the WBA, WBC, IBF, WBO, and The Ring titles, previously defeated Bivol in October 2024 via majority decision, marking the first time Beterbiev had gone the distance in his career. The rematch promises to be another clash of styles, with Beterbiev’s power pitted against Bivol’s technical prowess. Meanwhile, Parker, a former heavyweight champion, will face Bakole, a late replacement for Dubois, in a bout for the WBO interim heavyweight title. Bakole, ranked No. 2 by the WBO, brings a 21-1 record, with his sole loss coming in 2018.
The stacked card also includes world title fights featuring Shakur Stevenson, Carlos Adames, Vergil Ortiz Jr, and Joshua Buatsi, among others. The event is expected to draw global attention, with ring walks for the main event scheduled for around 10.30pm UK time. Sky Sports Box Office will broadcast the event for £19.95 in the UK, with repeat showings available the following day.
