Warwick Davis Honours Late Wife at 2025 BAFTA Film Awards
British actor Warwick Davis made a poignant appearance at the 2025 BAFTA Film Awards in London, just months after the tragic death of his wife, Samantha Davis. The 55-year-old Harry Potter star, who is set to receive the prestigious BAFTA Fellowship for his outstanding contribution to the film industry, attended the ceremony solo, dressed sharply in a burgundy suede blazer and black trousers.
Samantha, whom Warwick met on the set of the 1988 film Willow, passed away in March 2024 at the age of 53. The couple, who married in 1991, shared two children, Annabelle, 27, and Harrison, 22. Warwick paid tribute to his late wife, describing her as his “favourite human” in a heartfelt statement following her death.
Despite his personal loss, Warwick put on a brave face at the event, arriving on a hoverboard and sharing his excitement about the BAFTA Fellowship. He revealed he initially thought the notification was a scam, but upon confirming its authenticity, he celebrated the news with his family. The Fellowship recognises his decades-long career, which began with his role as an Ewok in Star Wars: Return of the Jedi at just 11 years old.
Warwick’s appearance at the BAFTAs marked a significant milestone in a challenging year, as he continues to honour Samantha’s memory while celebrating his achievements in the film industry.
