The Met Office has issued yellow weather warnings for heavy rain and strong winds across parts of the UK, with potential flooding and disruption as communities recover from Storm Éowyn.
On the evening of 22 November, Chester railway and bus stations were evacuated following a security alert involving suspicious activity reported on two buses. This prompted a swift response from police and emergency services, leading to the deployment of a bomb disposal team. Streets in the city centre were cordoned off, causing significant travel disruption. National Rail services in and out of Chester were halted, affecting both rail and bus passengers until the situation was resolved later in the evening.
