獨立股評人David Webb因健康問題宣布關閉Webb-site
獨立股評人兼Webb-site Reports創辦人David Webb宣布，由於癌症症狀及治療副作用影響其運作能力，計劃結束其網站運作。Webb透露，他正接近五年存活率約30%的階段，並已耗盡四種治療方案，轉而使用僅在海外提供的實驗性治療，目前預期壽命以月而非年計算。
Webb於2020年被診斷出患有轉移性前列腺癌，他表示希望能在八月迎來60歲生日，並期望能再過一個生日。為避免網站管理成為家人的負擔，他計劃有序地結束這個非牟利且虧損的網站運作。Webb-site自2003年以來已耗資超過1000萬港元建立及運營數據庫，他認為該數據庫對記者、監管機構、研究人員及投資者均有用處。
Webb自1991年起居於香港，曾於倫敦及香港的巴克萊集團擔任股票市場銀行家，並擔任會德豐的顧問。他於1998年創辦Webb-site，並自掏腰包支持該平台運作。網站將於下月分階段關閉，最終所有內容將隨紐約伺服器的關閉而消失。
