曼城在對陣奧連特的比賽中一度落後，但最終以2比1反勝晉級。奧連特的唐尼利射入一記50碼外的遠射，雖然球擊中門楣後彈入網，但官方紀錄為曼城門將奧迪加的烏龍球。曼城領隊哥迪奧拿賽後大讚唐尼利的入球，並表示球隊在落後下展現出韌性。
