著名投資者兼獨立股票分析師David Webb宣布，由於健康原因，將關閉其長期運營的金融資訊網站Webb-Site。Webb自2020年6月公開其前列腺癌診斷以來，已與癌症抗爭近五年。他經歷了四輪治療並參與了海外的實驗性療法，但副作用和症狀使他身心俱疲。
Webb表示，他的剩餘壽命已以月計算，並希望在健康進一步惡化前有序關閉網站，以免將網站的管理責任留給家人。Webb-site自1998年成立以來，一直致力於推動香港企業和經濟治理的改善，並為記者、監管機構、研究人員和投資者提供了有用的數據庫。Webb自掏腰包投入超過1000萬港元運營該網站，並強調這是一項無盈利的公益事業。
Webb計劃在網站服務器關閉後，讓Webb-site及其所有編輯內容消失。他希望在8月迎來60歲生日，並期待能再慶祝一次。
