इंटरनेशनल क्रिकेट काउंसिल (ICC) ने चैंपियंस ट्रॉफी 2025 के लिए पाकिस्तान-आधारित कश्मीर (PoK) के क्षेत्रों में planned ट्रॉफी टूर को रद्द करने का निर्णय लिया है। यह निर्णय भारतीय क्रिकेट कंट्रोल बोर्ड (BCCI) के विरोधों के बाद आया है, जिनमें कहा गया था कि भारतीय टीम पाकिस्तानी ट्रॉफी टूर के तहत उन क्षेत्रों का दौरा नहीं करेगी।
पाकिस्तान क्रिकेट बोर्ड (PCB) द्वारा 16 से 24 नवंबर के बीच आयोजित एक राष्ट्रीय ट्रॉफी टूर की योजना बनाई गई थी, जिसमें स्कार्दू, मुर्री और मुजफ्फराबाद के स्थलों का समावेश था। लेकिन ICC ने स्पष्ट किया है कि PoK के क्षेत्र इस टूर का हिस्सा नहीं होंगे।
इस बीच, BCCI ने ICC को सूचित किया है कि भारत चैंपियंस ट्रॉफी के मैचों के लिए पाकिस्तान नहीं जाएगा, जिसके कारण PCB ने ICC से भारत के निर्णय के पीछे के कारणों का लिखित स्पष्टीकरण मांगा है। पाकिस्तान अगर भारत के अनवांटेड कारणों के आधार पर कोई ठोस सबूत मांगता है, तो ICC को अंतिम निर्णय लेना होगा।
PCB के अध्यक्ष मोहसिन नकवी ने कहा कि अगर भारत इस ट्रॉफी में शामिल नहीं होता है, तो PCB को भी इस मामले में कड़ी नुकसान हो सकता है। उन्होंने यह भी कहा कि अगर भारत का दौरा नहीं होता है, तो कुछ अन्य टीमों को प्रतिस्थापित किया जा सकता है।
इससे पहले की घटनाओं में, भारत ने सुरक्षा चिंताओं के कारण पाकिस्तान में किसी भी मैच खेलने से इनकार किया था, और यह स्थिति भविष्य में भी बनी रह सकती है। यदि स्थिति नहीं सुधरती है, तो ICC चैंपियंस ट्रॉफी का आयोजन किसी तटस्थ स्थल पर करने पर विचार कर सकता है, जिससे पाकिस्तान को नुकसान होगा और संभावित रूप से यह 65 मिलियन डॉलर का वित्तीय घाटा भी खींच सकता है।
नजाम सेठी, पूर्व PCB अध्यक्ष, ने सुझाव दिया है कि PCB को अपनी स्थिति पर पुनर्विचार करना चाहिए, क्योंकि भारत के साथ सीधा प्रतिस्पर्धा न करने की वजह से पाकिस्तान की क्रिकेटिंग भविष्य और राजस्व पर गंभीर प्रभाव पड़ सकता है।
