मोहिनी ने अपने इंस्टाग्राम पर एक संयुक्त पोस्ट के माध्यम से यह समाचार साझा किया, जिसमें उन्होंने लिखा, “मार्क और मैं एक भारी दिल के साथ यह घोषणा करते हैं कि हम अलग हो गए हैं। यह एक आपसी समझ है और जबकि हम अच्छे दोस्त बने रहेंगे, हमें जीवन में अलग-अलग चीजों की तलाश है।” उन्होंने आगे कहा कि वे कई पारिवारिक और संगीत प्रोजेक्ट्स पर एक साथ काम करना जारी रखेंगे, जिसमें ममो जी और मोहिनी देय ग्रुप शामिल हैं।
29 वर्षीय मोहिनी एक प्रसिद्ध बास गिटारिस्ट हैं, जो कोलकाता से हैं और उन्होंने ए. आर. रहमान के साथ 40 से अधिक शो किए हैं। उनका हाल ही में अगस्त 2023 में रिलीज़ हुआ डेब्यू एलबम “फ्री स्पिरिट” भी काफी चर्चा में रहा है। मोहिनी ने अनुरोध किया है कि उनके प्रशंसक उनके निर्णय का सम्मान करें और उनकी निजी जिंदगी में दखल न दें।
दूसरी ओर, रहमान और सायरा के बीच संबंधों के टूटने की वजह के बारे में जानकारी देते हुए, सायरा के वकील ने कहा कि उनके अलगाव का कारण “भावनात्मक तनाव” था, जिसके चलते दोनों के बीच एक ऐसी दूरी बन गई थी जिसे मिटाना अब संभव नहीं रहा।
