महाराष्ट्र विधानसभा चुनाव 2024 में ऐतिहासिक मतदान प्रतिशत दर्ज किया गया है। 20 नवंबर को हुए चुनावों में, राज्य में 65.02% मतदाता भागीदारी हुई, जो कि 1995 के बाद से सबसे अधिक है। पिछले विधानसभा चुनाव 2019 में यह संख्या 61.6% थी। इस बार, महानगर मुंबई में भी मतदान प्रतिशत में सुधार देखने को मिला, जहां शहर ने 52.07% मतदान दर्ज किया।
महाराष्ट्र में कुल 4,136 उम्मीदवारों ने 288 सीटों के लिए चुनाव लड़ा। इनमें से सबसे अधिक मतदान का प्रतिशत कोल्हापुर जिले में 76.25% था, जबकि गढ़चिरौली ने 73.68% और जलना ने 72.30% मतदान किया। इसके विपरीत, मुंबई सिटी जिले में मतदान का प्रतिशत सबसे कम रहा।
चुनाव आयोग ने शहरी क्षेत्रों में मतदान जागरूकता बढ़ाने के लिए कई अभियान चलाए, जिसमें फिल्मी सितारों और प्रमुख राजनेताओं ने नागरिकों को वोट देने के लिए प्रेरित किया। आयोग ने यह भी सुनिश्चित किया कि मतदान केंद्रों पर सभी आवश्यक सुविधाएं उपलब्ध हों, जैसे कि बांचों, व्हीलचेयर आदि।
हालांकि, राज्य के कुछ हिस्सों में मतदान के दौरान हिंसा की घटनाएं भी रिपोर्ट की गईं, विशेष रूप से बीड जिले में, जहां एक मतदान केंद्र को नुकसान पहुंचाया गया। मुख्यमंत्री एकनाथ शिंदे का विधानसभा क्षेत्र कोपरी-पचपखाड़ी में 55.77% जबकि डिप्टी सीएम देवेंद्र फडणवीस के नागपुर साउथ वेस्ट क्षेत्र में 51.54% मतदान हुआ।
चुनाव के परिणाम 23 नवंबर को घोषित किए जाएंगे, जिसमें भाजपा-नेतृत्व वाले महायुत गठबंधन को फिर से सत्ता में आने की उम्मीद है। यह चुनाव राज्य की राजनीति में महत्वपूर्ण मोड़ पर आयोजित किया गया है, विभिन्न बड़े गठबंधनों के बीच टकराव के साथ।
