आदित्य ठाकरे ने वारली विधानसभा सीट पर अपनी जीत दर्ज की। उन्होंने महायूति के मिलिंद देवरा को 8,801 वोटों की बढ़त से हराया। ठाकरे ने कुल 63,324 वोट प्राप्त किए, जबकि देवरा को 54,523 वोट मिले। यह चुनाव 20 नवंबर 2024 को हुए थे, और मतगणना 23 नवंबर को हुई।
चुनाव में तीन प्रमुख उम्मीदवार थे: आदित्य ठाकरे (शिवसेना - उद्धव बालासाहेब ठाकरे), मिलिंद देवरा (शिवसेना - एकनाथ शिंदे के गुट) और संदीप देशपांडे (महाराष्ट्र नवनिर्माण सेना)। इस चुनाव में ठाकरे ने उच्च राजनीतिक दबाव के बीच जीवंत प्रतिस्पर्धा का सामना किया, जहां पहले कई दौर की मतगणना में देवरा ने बढ़त बनाई थी, फिर ठाकरे ने जबर्दस्त वापसी करते हुए अपना बढ़त पुनः प्राप्त किया।
ठाकरे ने कहा कि राज्य के अन्य चुनावों में भी परिणाम चौंकाने वाले रहे हैं। उनकी जीत इस बात का संकेत है कि वारली क्षेत्र में उनके काम और लोगों का समर्थन मजबूत है। इसके विपरीत, मिलिंद देवरा ने अपनी हार के बाद कहा कि वह एक कठिन मुकाबला पेश कर रहे थे और यह चुनाव स्थानीय विकास के मुद्दों पर आधारित था।
इस चुनाव के परिणामों ने महाराष्ट्र की राजनीतिक Landscape को भी प्रभावित किया है। महायूति ने कुल 230 से अधिक सीटों पर अपनी पकड़ बना ली है, जबकि महाविकास आघाड़ी केवल 50 सीटों पर ही सिमट गई है।
