चुनाव में शिव सेना (UBT) के उम्मीदवार हारून खान ने 65,396 वोट लेकर जीत हासिल की। खान का यह राजनीतिक पदार्पण मध्य राज्य स्तर पर उनके लोकसभा चुनाव में निराशाजनक प्रदर्शन की तरह ही रहा। सोशल मीडिया पर, उपयोगकर्ताओं ने उनके इस प्रदर्शन पर मजाक करते हुए टिप्पणी की कि “DIGITAL FOLLOWERS का वोटों में तब्दील होना आवश्यक नहीं है” और “इंस्टाग्राम पर लोकप्रियता वोटों की गारंटी नहीं है।”
अजाज खान ने हार के लिए ईवीएम मशीन में खराबी को जिम्मेदार ठहराया और कहा कि राजनीति में जीतने के लिए केवल सोशल मीडिया की उपस्थिति काफी नहीं है। चुनाव के लिए हुआ मतदान प्रतिशत 66.05% था, जो पिछले सामान्य चुनाव की तुलना में अधिक है। इस चुनाव में महायूती गठबंधन की भारी जीत की उम्मीद की जा रही है, जबकि महा विकास आघाड़ी को निराशाजनक परिणामों का सामना करना पड़ रहा है।
