उत्तरी आयरलैंड में, शुक्रवार शाम 7 बजे से शनिवार सुबह 10 बजे तक पीली बर्फ और बर्फ की चेतावनी जारी है। मौसम कार्यालय ने चेतावनी दी है कि बर्फीले हिस्से और बर्फ की बौछारें खतरनाक ड्राइविंग स्थितियों का कारण बनेंगी, विशेष रूप से पश्चिम में ऊंचे इलाकों में बर्फ की थोड़ी मात्रा की उम्मीद है। बर्फ को प्राथमिक खतरा माना जा रहा है, जो तापमान गिरने पर अनुपचारित सतहों पर जम सकती है।
स्कॉटलैंड के लिए भी इसी तरह की चेतावनियां जारी की गई हैं, जहां बर्फ की बौछारें शनिवार सुबह तक जारी रहने की उम्मीद है। ऊंचे इलाकों में 5-10 सेमी बर्फ जमा होने की संभावना है, और अनुपचारित सतहों पर बर्फीले हिस्से बन सकते हैं। मौसम कार्यालय ने सलाह दी है कि सड़कें और रेलवे प्रभावित हो सकते हैं, जिससे यात्रा का समय बढ़ सकता है, और बर्फीली सतहों पर फिसलने और गिरने से चोट लगने का खतरा है।
इंग्लैंड और वेल्स में, शनिवार को सुबह 3 बजे से 10 बजे तक पीली बर्फ की चेतावनी प्रभावी है, जो पूर्वी मिडलैंड्स, पश्चिमी मिडलैंड्स और दक्षिणी इंग्लैंड के कुछ हिस्सों को कवर करती है। मौसम कार्यालय ने अनुपचारित सड़कों, फुटपाथों और साइकिल पथों पर बर्फीले हिस्सों की चेतावनी दी है, जो खतरनाक स्थितियों का कारण बन सकते हैं।
प्रभावित क्षेत्रों के निवासियों से सतर्क रहने, अनावश्यक यात्रा से बचने और संभावित व्यवधानों के लिए तैयार रहने का आग्रह किया गया है। ये चेतावनियां तब आई हैं जब तापमान रात में हिमांक से नीचे गिरने की उम्मीद है, जो बर्फ बनने के खतरे को और बढ़ा सकता है।
