भारत की महिला अंडर-19 टीम ने आईसीसी महिला अंडर-19 टी20 विश्व कप 2025 के फाइनल में दक्षिण अफ्रीका को 9 विकेट से हराकर लगातार दूसरी बार खिताब अपने नाम किया। यह मुकाबला कुआलालंपुर में खेला गया, जहां भारत ने दक्षिण अफ्रीका को महज 82 रन पर समेटकर मैच पर पूरी तरह से कब्जा कर लिया। भारत ने लक्ष्य को केवल 11.2 ओवर में हासिल कर लिया और केवल एक विकेट गंवाया।
फाइनल में दक्षिण अफ्रीका ने टॉस जीतकर पहले बल्लेबाजी का फैसला किया, लेकिन भारत की गेंदबाजी के आगे उनका बल्लेबाजी क्रम पूरी तरह से धराशायी हो गया। ट्रिशा गोंगाडी ने तीन विकेट लिए, जबकि परुनिका सिसोदिया, आयुषी शुक्ला और वैष्णवी शर्मा ने दो-दो विकेट झटके। दक्षिण अफ्रीका की ओर से केवल जेम्मा बोथा और मीके वैन वूर्स्ट ने कुछ प्रतिरोध दिखाया, लेकिन टीम को 20 ओवर में 82 रन पर ही समेट दिया गया।
लक्ष्य का पीछा करते हुए भारत ने शानदार शुरुआत की। ट्रिशा गोंगाडी ने 33 गेंदों में 44 रन की नाबाद पारी खेली, जबकि सानिका चालके ने 22 गेंदों में 26 रन बनाए। दक्षिण अफ्रीका की ओर से केवल कायला रेनेके ने एक विकेट लिया, लेकिन यह उनके लिए मैच को बचाने के लिए पर्याप्त नहीं था।
भारत ने पूरे टूर्नामेंट में अपनी श्रेष्ठता साबित की और एक भी मैच नहीं हारा। टीम ने ग्रुप स्टेज और सुपर सिक्स में शानदार प्रदर्शन किया, और सेमीफाइनल में इंग्लैंड को हराकर फाइनल में पहुंची। दक्षिण अफ्रीका ने भी एक अच्छा अभियान चलाया, लेकिन फाइनल में भारत के आगे टिक नहीं पाई।
भारत की कप्तान निकी प्रसाद ने कहा कि टीम ने शांत रहकर अपना काम किया और सभी क्रेडिट सपोर्ट स्टाफ को जाता है। ट्रिशा गोंगाडी को फाइनल और टूर्नामेंट का सर्वश्रेष्ठ खिलाड़ी चुना गया। उन्होंने कहा कि यह उनके लिए एक सपने जैसा है और वह भविष्य में भी देश के लिए और जीत हासिल करना चाहती हैं।
इस जीत के साथ भारत ने महिला अंडर-19 टी20 विश्व कप में अपना दबदबा कायम रखा और यह साबित किया कि उनका भविष्य उज्ज्वल है।
