सरकार ने 2025-26 के बजट में युवा मामलों और खेल मंत्रालय को 3,794.30 करोड़ रुपये का आवंटन किया है, जो पिछले वर्ष की तुलना में 351.98 करोड़ रुपये की वृद्धि है। इस बजट में खेलो इंडिया कार्यक्रम को सबसे बड़ा लाभ मिला है, जिसके लिए 1,000 करोड़ रुपये आवंटित किए गए हैं। यह राशि पिछले वर्ष के 800 करोड़ रुपये से 200 करोड़ रुपये अधिक है। वित्त मंत्री निर्मला सीतारमण ने शनिवार को यह बजट पेश किया।
खेल और युवा मामलों के मंत्री मनसुख मंडाविया ने इस आवंटन की सराहना करते हुए कहा कि यह खेल अवसंरचना को मजबूत करेगा और युवाओं के विकास को बढ़ावा देगा। इस वर्ष कोई बड़ी अंतरराष्ट्रीय खेल प्रतियोगिता नहीं होने के बावजूद यह वृद्धि महत्वपूर्ण है।
खेल प्राधिकरण (SAI) को 830 करोड़ रुपये आवंटित किए गए हैं, जो पिछले वर्ष के 815 करोड़ रुपये से अधिक है। राष्ट्रीय डोप टेस्टिंग लैब को 23 करोड़ रुपये और राष्ट्रीय एंटी-डोपिंग एजेंसी को 24.30 करोड़ रुपये दिए गए हैं। हालांकि, खिलाड़ियों को प्रोत्साहन राशि 42.65 करोड़ रुपये से घटाकर 37 करोड़ रुपये कर दी गई है।
जम्मू-कश्मीर में खेल सुविधाओं के विकास के लिए 20 करोड़ रुपये आवंटित किए गए हैं, जो पिछले वर्ष से 14 करोड़ रुपये अधिक है। राष्ट्रीय सेवा योजना (NSS) को 450 करोड़ रुपये दिए गए हैं, जो पिछले वर्ष से 200 करोड़ रुपये अधिक है। यह योजना युवाओं को सामाजिक कार्य और समुदाय सेवा के माध्यम से विकसित करने पर केंद्रित है।
