जियोहॉटस्टार प्लेटफॉर्म का लॉन्च; प्रीमियम मनोरंजन और खेल कंटेंट का नया अध्याय
वायकॉम18 और स्टार इंडिया के विलय से बनी नई संयुक्त कंपनी जियोस्टार ने जियोहॉटस्टार प्लेटफॉर्म लॉन्च किया है। यह प्लेटफॉर्म जियोसिनेमा और डिज्नी+ हॉटस्टार को मिलाकर बनाया गया है और इसमें 3 लाख घंटे से अधिक का मनोरंजन कंटेंट, लाइव स्पोर्ट्स कवरेज और 50 करोड़ से अधिक उपयोगकर्ताओं का डेटाबेस शामिल है। जियोहॉटस्टार का उद्देश्य भारतीय दर्शकों के लिए प्रीमियम मनोरंजन और खेल कंटेंट को सुलभ बनाना है।
आईपीएल 2025 से शुरू होकर, जियोहॉटस्टार पर अब पूरी तरह से मुफ्त स्ट्रीमिंग नहीं होगी। दर्शकों को मैच देखने के लिए न्यूनतम ₹149 के सब्सक्रिप्शन प्लान की आवश्यकता होगी। हालांकि, उपयोगकर्ता कुछ मिनटों तक मुफ्त में मैच देख सकेंगे, लेकिन उसके बाद उन्हें सब्सक्रिप्शन पेज पर रीडायरेक्ट किया जाएगा। यह निर्णय रिलायंस और डिज्नी के $8.5 बिलियन के विलय के बाद लिया गया है।
जियोहॉटस्टार के सब्सक्रिप्शन प्लान में बेसिक प्लान ₹149 प्रति तिमाही और एड-फ्री वर्जन ₹499 प्रति तिमाही पर उपलब्ध होगा। प्लेटफॉर्म पर आईपीएल, डब्ल्यूपीएल, प्रीमियर लीग और विंबलडन जैसे प्रमुख टूर्नामेंट्स के साथ-साथ घरेलू लीग जैसे प्रो कबड्डी और आईएसएल का कवरेज भी शामिल होगा। इसके अलावा, प्लेटफॉर्म पर अल्ट्रा-एचडी 4K स्ट्रीमिंग, एआई-पावर्ड इनसाइट्स और मल्टी-एंगल व्यूइंग जैसी सुविधाएं भी उपलब्ध होंगी।
जियोस्टार के सीईओ किरण मणि ने कहा कि यह प्लेटफॉर्म भारतीय दर्शकों के लिए प्रीमियम मनोरंजन को सुलभ बनाने के लिए डिज़ाइन किया गया है। उन्होंने यह भी कहा कि प्लेटफॉर्म पर 19 से अधिक भाषाओं में कंटेंट उपलब्ध होगा, जिससे यह और भी व्यक्तिगत और समावेशी बनेगा।
