भाजपा नेता परवेश वर्मा की बेटी सानिधि सिंह और तृषा वर्मा ने अपने पिता की नई दिल्ली विधानसभा सीट पर आम आदमी पार्टी (आप) के अरविंद केजरीवाल को हराने के बाद जनता का आभार व्यक्त किया। सानिधि ने एएनआई से बात करते हुए कहा, “हम सभी बहुत खुश हैं। मैं नई दिल्ली के लोगों का शुक्रिया अदा करती हूं कि उन्होंने हमें अगले पांच साल तक उनकी सेवा करने का मौका दिया। हमने हमेशा पार्टी द्वारा उन्हें सौंपी गई जिम्मेदारियों को स्वीकार किया है, और इस बार भी हम इसे खुशी-खुशी करेंगे।”
तृषा वर्मा ने भी मतदाताओं का धन्यवाद किया और आप की सरकार पर निशाना साधते हुए कहा, “हम नई दिल्ली के लोगों के समर्थन के लिए आभारी हैं। दिल्ली के लोग कभी भी झूठ बोलकर शासन करने वाले को दूसरा मौका देने की गलती नहीं दोहराएंगे। हमें हमेशा से पता था कि एक स्पष्ट जीत होगी—हम सही समय का इंतजार कर रहे थे। इस बार, दिल्ली के लोगों ने झूठ को जीतने नहीं दिया।”
इससे पहले, परवेश वर्मा और उनकी बेटी सानिधि सिंह का एक पुराना वीडियो सोशल मीडिया पर वायरल हुआ था, जिसमें सानिधि ने अपने पिता से पूछा था, “आप डांस भी करते हो?” यह वीडियो उत्तरायणी मेले में परवेश वर्मा के स्थानीय लोगों के साथ डांस करने के दौरान का था। इस वीडियो ने सोशल मीडिया पर खूब धूम मचाई और लोगों को उनकी यह छवि काफी पसंद आई।
दिल्ली विधानसभा चुनाव में भाजपा ने 70 में से 48 सीटों पर बढ़त बनाई, जबकि आप 22 सीटों पर आगे रही। परवेश वर्मा का यह जीत दिल्ली की राजनीति में एक बड़ा बदलाव लाने वाला माना जा रहा है।
