राजत पाटीदार; आईपीएल 2025 में RCB के नए कप्तान
रॉयल चैलेंजर्स बैंगलोर (RCB) ने आईपीएल 2025 के लिए राजत पाटीदार को अपना नया कप्तान घोषित किया है। 31 वर्षीय मध्यक्रम के बल्लेबाज पाटीदार RCB के आठवें कप्तान बन गए हैं। उन्हें यह जिम्मेदारी फाफ डु प्लेसिस के जाने के बाद मिली है, जो पिछले कुछ सीजन से टीम का नेतृत्व कर रहे थे। पाटीदार ने हाल ही में मध्य प्रदेश की टीम को सैयद मुश्ताक अली ट्रॉफी के फाइनल तक पहुंचाया था, जिससे उनकी कप्तानी क्षमता को मान्यता मिली।
पाटीदार ने कप्तानी की जिम्मेदारी संभालने पर कहा, “मैं इस भूमिका के लिए सम्मानित महसूस कर रहा हूं। मैं दबाव में घबराता नहीं हूं और यह मेरी ताकत है। टीम में महान नेताओं के सुझाव मुझे इस भूमिका में मदद करेंगे।” उन्होंने आगे बताया कि उन्हें पिछले साल ही कप्तानी की संभावना के बारे में संकेत मिला था, जब RCB के डायरेक्टर ऑफ क्रिकेट मो बोबट ने उनसे इस बारे में बात की थी।
पाटीदार ने 2021 में आईपीएल में डेब्यू किया था और तब से वह RCB का हिस्सा रहे हैं। उन्होंने 27 मैचों में 799 रन बनाए हैं, जिसमें 158.85 की स्ट्राइक रेट शामिल है। उन्हें मेगा ऑक्शन से पहले 11 करोड़ रुपये में रिटेन किया गया था। हालांकि, 2022 सीजन से पहले उन्हें रिलीज कर दिया गया था, लेकिन लविंथ सिसोदिया की चोट के बाद उन्हें RCB में वापसी का मौका मिला। उन्होंने 8 पारियों में 333 रन बनाए, जिसमें एक शतक भी शामिल था, और तब से वह टीम का अहम हिस्सा बन गए हैं।
RCB के हेड कोच एंडी फ्लावर ने पाटीदार की कप्तानी क्षमता की सराहना करते हुए कहा, “राजत में एक शांत और सरल स्वभाव है, जो आईपीएल जैसे प्रतिस्पर्धी टूर्नामेंट में उन्हें मदद करेगा। उनकी निर्णय लेने की क्षमता और टीम के साथियों के प्रति उनका ध्यान उन्हें एक अच्छा नेता बनाता है।”
पाटीदार की नियुक्ति RCB के लिए एक नई दिशा का संकेत है, जो पिछले कुछ सालों में विराट कोहली और फाफ डु प्लेसिस के नेतृत्व में खेल रही थी। कोहली ने 2012 से 2021 तक टीम का नेतृत्व किया था और उनके कार्यकाल में RCB ने 2016 में फाइनल तक पहुंचने सहित कई बार प्लेऑफ में जगह बनाई थी।
