रॉयल चैलेंजर्स बैंगलोर (RCB) ने वीमेंस प्रीमियर लीग (WPL) 2025 के पहले मैच में गुजरात जायंट्स को 6 विकेट से हराकर इतिहास रच दिया। 14 फरवरी, 2025 को वडोदरा के कोटांबी स्टेडियम में खेले गए इस मैच में RCB ने 202 रन के लक्ष्य को 9 गेंद शेष रहते हुए सफलतापूर्वक पीछा किया। यह WPL इतिहास में सबसे बड़ा सफल रन चेस है। रिचा घोष ने 27 गेंदों में 64 रन की नाबाद पारी खेली, जबकि एलिस पेरी ने 34 गेंदों में 57 रन बनाए।
गुजरात जायंट्स ने पहले बल्लेबाजी करते हुए 201 रन का स्कोर खड़ा किया। कप्तान एशले गार्डनर ने 79 रन की नाबाद पारी खेली और दो विकेट भी लिए। हालांकि, उनका प्रयास टीम को जीत दिलाने के लिए पर्याप्त नहीं था। RCB की ओर से रेनुका सिंह ने 2 विकेट लिए, लेकिन जॉर्जिया वेयरहैम और वीजे जोशिता महंगे साबित हुए।
RCB की पारी में एलिस पेरी और रघवी बिस्ट ने तीसरे विकेट के लिए 86 रन की साझेदारी की। पेरी ने 27 गेंदों में अपना अर्धशतक पूरा किया। इसके बाद रिचा घोष और कनिका अहूजा ने 37 गेंदों में 93 रन जोड़कर मैच को RCB के पक्ष में कर दिया। रिचा ने 23 गेंदों में अपना अर्धशतक पूरा किया और मैच को जीत की ओर ले गईं।
