दक्षिण अफ्रीका ने आईसीसी चैंपियंस ट्रॉफी 2025 के तीसरे मैच में अफगानिस्तान को 107 रनों से हराकर अपना अभियान शानदार तरीके से शुरू किया। कराची के नेशनल स्टेडियम में खेले गए इस मैच में दक्षिण अफ्रीका ने पहले बल्लेबाजी करते हुए 315 रन बनाए, जिसका जवाब अफगानिस्तान 208 रन पर सिमट गया।
रयान रिकेल्टन ने अपना पहला वनडे शतक (103 रन) जड़कर दक्षिण अफ्रीका को मजबूत पायदान पर पहुंचाया। कप्तान टेंबा बावुमा (58 रन), रासी वैन डेर डसेन (52 रन) और एडेन मार्करम (52 रन) ने भी अर्धशतक बनाकर टीम को 300 से ऊपर का स्कोर खड़ा करने में मदद की। अफगानिस्तान की ओर से मोहम्मद नबी ने 2 विकेट लिए, लेकिन उनके गेंदबाजों को रन रोकने में काफी मुश्किलों का सामना करना पड़ा।
जवाब में अफगानिस्तान की पारी रहमत शाह के 90 रनों के बावजूद कभी पटरी पर नहीं आ सकी। कागिसो रबाडा (3 विकेट), लुंगी नगीदी (2 विकेट) और विआन मल्डर (2 विकेट) ने अफगानिस्तान के बल्लेबाजों को लगातार दबाव में रखा। अफगानिस्तान की टीम 43.3 ओवर में 208 रन बनाकर ऑल आउट हो गई।
इस जीत के साथ दक्षिण अफ्रीका ने अपने नेट रन रेट को +2.140 तक पहुंचा दिया है, जबकि अफगानिस्तान को अपनी गलतियों से सबक लेने की जरूरत है। दक्षिण अफ्रीका का अगला मुकाबला ऑस्ट्रेलिया के खिलाफ होगा, जबकि अफगानिस्तान को अपने अगले दो मैचों में बेहतर प्रदर्शन करने की जरूरत है।
