पाकिस्तान के स्टार बल्लेबाज बाबर आजम ने भारत के खिलाफ आईसीसी चैंपियंस ट्रॉफी 2025 के मैच से पहले टीम की प्रैक्टिस से अनुपस्थिति दर्ज कराई। पाकिस्तान क्रिकेट बोर्ड (पीसीबी) के चेयरमैन मोहसिन नकवी ने टीम को भारत के खिलाफ मैच “किसी भी कीमत पर जीतने” का आह्वान किया। बाबर की अनुपस्थिति को लेकर अटकलें जारी हैं, क्योंकि उन्हें न्यूजीलैंड के खिलाफ पिछले मैच में धीमी पारी के लिए आलोचना का सामना करना पड़ा था। उन्होंने 94 गेंदों में 64 रन बनाए, जिससे पाकिस्तान 320 रन के लक्ष्य का पीछा करते हुए 60 रन से हार गया।

इंटरिम हेड कोच अकीब जावेद ने बाबर की अनुपस्थिति पर कोई विशेष कारण नहीं बताया, लेकिन उन्होंने कहा कि बाबर ने आराम करने का फैसला किया। नकवी ने टीम के कप्तान मोहम्मद रिजवान और कोच से मुलाकात की और उन्हें भारत के खिलाफ मैच में अपना सर्वश्रेष्ठ प्रदर्शन करने के लिए प्रेरित किया।

पाकिस्तान को अगर इस मैच में हार का सामना करना पड़ा, तो वह टूर्नामेंट से बाहर हो जाएगा। नकवी ने कहा कि टीम भारत के खिलाफ अच्छा प्रदर्शन करने के लिए तैयार है और वह उनके साथ हैं, चाहे वे जीतें या हारें।

इस बीच, भारत के पूर्व स्पिनर रविचंद्रन अश्विन ने बाबर आजम के इरादों पर सवाल उठाया। अश्विन ने कहा कि बाबर ने न्यूजीलैंड के खिलाफ मैच में आक्रामकता की कमी दिखाई और उनके शॉट चयन पर सवाल उठाया। उन्होंने कहा कि बाबर ने ऑफ-स्पिनर्स के खिलाफ लैप स्वीप या रिवर्स स्वीप जैसे शॉट्स नहीं खेले, जिससे पाकिस्तान की रन रेट प्रभावित हुई।

पाकिस्तान को भारत के खिलाफ जीत हासिल करने के लिए बाबर आजम के प्रदर्शन पर निर्भर रहना होगा, क्योंकि यह मैच उनके सेमीफाइनल की उम्मीदों के लिए महत्वपूर्ण है।
