मोहन बागान ने लगातार दूसरी बार जीता ISL शील्ड
मोहन बागान सुपर जायंट ने 23 फरवरी, 2025 को कोलकाता के विवेकानंद युवा भारती क्रिरंगन (साल्ट लेक स्टेडियम) में ओडिशा एफसी को 1-0 से हराकर लगातार दूसरी बार इंडियन सुपर लीग (ISL) शील्ड जीत ली। मैच के अंतिम मिनटों में डिमी पेट्राटोस के गोल ने मोहन बागान को यह ऐतिहासिक जीत दिलाई।
मैच के दौरान ओडिशा एफसी के खिलाड़ी मौर्तादा फॉल को 85वें मिनट में लाल कार्ड मिला, जिसके बाद मोहन बागान ने संख्यात्मक बढ़त का फायदा उठाया। 93वें मिनट में पेट्राटोस ने एक शानदार कर्वर शॉट से गोल करके मैच का निर्णय अपने पक्ष में कर लिया। इस जीत के साथ ही मोहन बागान ने ISL इतिहास में लगातार दो बार शील्ड जीतने वाली पहली टीम बनने का गौरव हासिल किया।
मोहन बागान ने इस सीज़न में 21 मैचों में 49 अंक हासिल किए, जो ISL इतिहास में किसी भी टीम द्वारा हासिल किए गए सर्वाधिक अंक हैं। टीम ने अपने पिछले 10 घरेलू मैचों में कोई हार नहीं झेली है और पिछले 5 मैचों में क्लीन शीट भी बरकरार रखी है।
