यूपी वॉरियर्स ने WPL 2025 में दिल्ली कैपिटल्स को 33 रन से हराया
बेंगलुरु में आयोजित महिला प्रीमियर लीग (WPL) 2025 के आठवें मैच में यूपी वॉरियर्स ने दिल्ली कैपिटल्स को 33 रन से हराकर इस सीजन में अपनी पहली जीत दर्ज की। यह मैच चिनास्वामी स्टेडियम में खेला गया, जहां यूपी वॉरियर्स ने 177 रन का स्कोर बनाया और फिर दिल्ली कैपिटल्स को 144 रन पर समेट दिया। यह इस सीजन में पहली बार था जब किसी टीम ने टोटल डिफेंड करके जीत हासिल की।
यूपी वॉरियर्स की ओर से चिनेल हेनरी ने शानदार बल्लेबाजी करते हुए 23 गेंदों में 62 रन बनाए, जिसमें 8 छक्के और 2 चौके शामिल थे। उन्होंने WPL इतिहास में संयुक्त सबसे तेज अर्धशतक (18 गेंदों में) लगाया। हेनरी के इस प्रदर्शन ने यूपी को 89/6 से 177/9 तक पहुंचाने में मदद की। दिल्ली की ओर से जेमिमाह रॉड्रिग्स ने 56 रन की पारी खेली, लेकिन टीम का मध्यक्रम फेल हो गया और वे लक्ष्य से काफी पीछे रह गए।
यूपी की गेंदबाजी में ग्रेस हैरिस ने हैट्रिक लेकर मैच को अपने नाम कर दिया। उन्होंने अंतिम ओवर में निकी प्रसाद, अरुंधति रेड्डी और मिन्नू मणि को लगातार तीन गेंदों पर आउट किया। इसके अलावा, क्रांति गौड़ ने भी 4 विकेट लेकर दिल्ली की बल्लेबाजी को ध्वस्त कर दिया।
यूपी वॉरियर्स की कप्तान दीप्ति शर्मा ने कहा कि यह जीत टीम के लिए बहुत महत्वपूर्ण है और इससे उन्हें आगे के मैचों के लिए आत्मविश्वास मिलेगा। दिल्ली कैपिटल्स की कप्तान मेग लैनिंग ने माना कि चिनेल हेनरी की पारी के सामने उनकी टीम के पास कोई जवाब नहीं था।
यह जीत यूपी वॉरियर्स के लिए एक बड़ा मोड़ साबित हो सकती है, क्योंकि वे इस सीजन में पहली बार पॉइंट्स टेबल पर अपना नाम दर्ज कर पाई हैं। दिल्ली कैपिटल्स को इस हार से सबक लेते हुए आगे के मैचों में बेहतर प्रदर्शन करने की जरूरत है।
