रॉयल चैलेंजर्स बैंगलोर (RCB) की बल्लेबाज़ रिचा घोष ने गुजरात जायंट्स (GG) के खिलाफ महिला प्रीमियर लीग (WPL) 2025 के पहले मैच में शानदार प्रदर्शन करते हुए अपनी टीम को जीत दिलाई। रिचा ने 27 गेंदों में 64 रन की नाबाद पारी खेली, जिसमें 7 चौके और 4 छक्के शामिल थे। उनकी इस पारी ने RCB को WPL इतिहास का सबसे बड़ा लक्ष्य (202 रन) का पीछा करने में मदद की और टीम को 6 विकेट से जीत दिलाई।
मैच के बाद रिचा ने बताया कि उन्होंने शुरुआत में समय लेकर पिच को समझने की कोशिश की और फिर अपने प्राकृतिक खेल पर ध्यान केंद्रित किया। उन्होंने कनिका अहूजा के साथ 93 रन की नाबाद साझेदारी की, जिसने मैच का पलड़ा RCB के पक्ष में झुका दिया। रिचा ने कहा, “हमने कोचिंग स्टाफ के साथ मैच सिमुलेशन के दौरान ऐसी स्थितियों के लिए खुद को तैयार किया था, जिसने हमें मदद की।”
इस मैच में एलीसे पेरी ने भी 34 गेंदों में 57 रन की महत्वपूर्ण पारी खेली, जबकि गुजरात जायंट्स की ओर से कप्तान एशले गार्डनर ने 37 गेंदों में 79 रन बनाए। हालांकि, GG के फील्डिंग में हुई गलतियों और RCB के मध्यक्रम के शानदार प्रदर्शन ने मैच का नतीजा तय कर दिया।
RCB की कप्तान स्मृति मंधाना ने मैच के बाद कहा कि टीम को जीत मिलना बहुत अच्छा लगा, लेकिन अभी बॉलिंग और फील्डिंग में सुधार की गुंजाइश है। RCB अब अपने अगले मैच के लिए तैयारी करेगी, जहां वे दिल्ली कैपिटल्स के खिलाफ खेलेंगी।
