भारतीय क्रिकेट टीम के कप्तान रोहित शर्मा ने हाल ही में इंडिया बनाम पाकिस्तान मैच के दौरान एक मजेदार घटना में अपनी हाजिरजवाबी का परिचय दिया। टॉस के दौरान पूर्व भारतीय कोच रवि शास्त्री ने एक छोटी सी गलती कर दी, जिस पर रोहित ने तुरंत प्रतिक्रिया देकर स्थिति को संभाल लिया। पाकिस्तान के कप्तान मोहम्मद रिजवान ने टॉस जीतकर पहले बल्लेबाजी करने का फैसला किया, लेकिन शास्त्री ने गलती से रोहित से पूछ लिया, “आप क्या करना चाहेंगे?” इस पर रोहित ने मुस्कुराते हुए कहा, “इससे कोई फर्क नहीं पड़ता, उन्होंने टॉस जीता है तो हम पहले गेंदबाजी करेंगे।” इसके बाद रोहित ने यह भी बताया कि भारत ने पाकिस्तान के खिलाफ वही टीम खेलने का फैसला किया है जो पिछले मैच में खेली थी।
इस बीच, पाकिस्तान के पूर्व कप्तान सरफराज अहमद ने रोहित शर्मा और विराट कोहली के भविष्य को लेकर अपनी राय रखी। उन्होंने कहा कि इन दोनों खिलाड़ियों को अपने करियर के बारे में फैसला लेने की पूरी आजादी होनी चाहिए। सरफराज ने कहा कि रोहित और कोहली ने भारतीय क्रिकेट के लिए उत्कृष्ट प्रदर्शन किया है और उन्हें टीम से हटाने के बजाय उनके आसपास टीम बनानी चाहिए। उन्होंने यह भी कहा कि पाकिस्तान में भारतीय क्रिकेटरों को बहुत प्यार और सम्मान मिलता है और वह चाहते हैं कि भारतीय टीम पाकिस्तान दौरे पर आए।
