विक्की कौशल की फिल्म छावा ने बॉक्स ऑफिस पर धमाल मचा दिया है। फिल्म ने अपने पहले दिन 50 करोड़ रुपये का कलेक्शन किया, जो हिंदी ऐतिहासिक फिल्मों के लिए सबसे बड़ा ओपनिंग है। फिल्म ने वैलेंटाइन डे पर भी रिकॉर्ड तोड़ा और 31 करोड़ रुपये की कमाई की, जो विक्की कौशल के करियर का सबसे बड़ा ओपनिंग है।
फिल्म ने 2025 में अब तक की सबसे बड़ी ओपनिंग दर्ज की है और गुल्ली बॉय के 19.40 करोड़ रुपये के रिकॉर्ड को पीछे छोड़ दिया है। फिल्म ने घरेलू बॉक्स ऑफिस पर 33.1 करोड़ रुपये का नेट कलेक्शन किया है। मुंबई सर्किट से फिल्म ने 15 करोड़ रुपये की कमाई की, जो सबसे ज्यादा है।
छावा में विक्की कौशल ने मराठा सम्राट छत्रपति संभाजी महाराज की भूमिका निभाई है, जबकि रश्मिका मंदन्ना ने महारानी येसुबाई और अक्षय खन्ना ने औरंगजेब का किरदार अदा किया है। फिल्म को लक्ष्मण उतेकर ने निर्देशित किया है और इसे मैडॉक फिल्म्स ने प्रोड्यूस किया है।
फिल्म को आलोचकों से मिले-जुले रिव्यू मिले हैं, लेकिन विक्की और अक्षय के परफॉर्मेंस की खूब सराहना हुई है। फिल्म का संगीत ए.आर. रहमान ने दिया है और गीत इरशाद कामिल ने लिखे हैं।
फिल्म ने अपने दूसरे दिन भी अच्छी कमाई जारी रखी और शनिवार को 20.02 करोड़ रुपये का कलेक्शन किया। इस तरह, फिल्म का कुल कलेक्शन 51.02 करोड़ रुपये तक पहुंच गया है। फिल्म के लिए रविवार को और बेहतर कलेक्शन की उम्मीद है।
