गुजरात जायंट्स ने RCB को हराकर WPL 2025 में दूसरी जीत दर्ज की
गुजरात जायंट्स (GG) ने रॉयल चैलेंजर्स बैंगलोर (RCB) को 6 विकेट से हराकर महिला प्रीमियर लीग (WPL) 2025 में अपनी दूसरी जीत दर्ज की। यह मैच 27 फरवरी, 2025 को बेंगलुरु के एम. चिन्नास्वामी स्टेडियम में खेला गया। गुजरात जायंट्स ने RCB को 125 रन पर सीमित करने के बाद, 16.3 ओवर में 126 रन बनाकर मैच जीत लिया।
RCB ने पहले बल्लेबाजी करते हुए 125 रन बनाए, जिसमें कनिका अहूजा (33) और राघवी बिस्ट (22) ने अच्छी पारियां खेलीं। हालांकि, गुजरात की गेंदबाजी ने RCB को कभी भी मैच में पैर जमाने नहीं दिया। डिएंड्रा डॉटिन (2/31) और तनुजा कंवर (2/16) ने शानदार गेंदबाजी की।
जवाब में गुजरात ने शुरुआत में कुछ संघर्ष किया, लेकिन ऐश गार्डनर (58) और फोएब लिचफील्ड (30*) ने शानदार पारियां खेलकर टीम को जीत दिलाई। गार्डनर ने 31 गेंदों में 6 चौके और 3 छक्के लगाकर अपना तीसरा अर्धशतक पूरा किया। उनकी पारी ने गुजरात को आसान जीत दिलाने में अहम भूमिका निभाई।
इस जीत के साथ, गुजरात ने अपनी लगातार हार के सिलसिले को तोड़ दिया और WPL 2025 में अपनी दूसरी जीत दर्ज की। वहीं, RCB को घर पर तीसरी हार का सामना करना पड़ा और उनकी टीम अब तक घर में कोई मैच नहीं जीत पाई है।
मैच के बाद, गुजरात की कप्तान ऐश गार्डनर ने कहा कि उनकी टीम ने पिछले कुछ मैचों में बल्लेबाजी में संघर्ष किया था, लेकिन आज उन्होंने बेहतर प्रदर्शन किया। उन्होंने गेंदबाजों की तारीफ की और कहा कि छोटे स्कोर का पीछा करना आसान होता है।
दूसरी ओर, RCB की कप्तान स्मृति मंधाना ने कहा कि उनकी टीम ने पावरप्ले में अच्छा प्रदर्शन नहीं किया और वे पिच को गलत तरीके से पढ़ गए। उन्होंने माना कि यह हार टीम के लिए काफी निराशाजनक है और उन्हें तीनों विभागों में सुधार की जरूरत है।
अगला मैच 28 फरवरी को दिल्ली कैपिटल्स और मुंबई इंडियंस के बीच होगा, जो WPL 2025 का 13वां मैच होगा।
