बेंगलुरु एफसी ने चेन्नईयिन एफसी को हराकर आईएसएल प्लेऑफ़ में जगह बनाई
बेंगलुरु एफसी ने चेन्नईयिन एफसी को 1-0 से हराकर इंडियन सुपर लीग (आईएसएल) 2024-25 के प्लेऑफ़ में जगह बना ली है। यह मैच 25 फरवरी, 2025 को बेंगलुरु के श्री कांटीरवा स्टेडियम में खेला गया। बेंगलुरु एफसी ने इस जीत के साथ ही चेन्नईयिन एफसी की प्लेऑफ़ की उम्मीदों को खत्म कर दिया।
मैच का एकमात्र गोल पहले हाफ में राहुल भेके ने किया। अल्बर्टो नोगुएरा के फ्री-किक से बॉल को भेके ने सही तरीके से नेट में पहुंचाया। इस गोल ने बेंगलुरु एफसी को मैच में बढ़त दिलाई और वे इसका फायदा अंत तक बनाए रखने में कामयाब रहे। चेन्नईयिन एफसी ने भी कई मौके बनाए, लेकिन वे गोल करने में नाकाम रहे।
इस जीत के साथ बेंगलुरु एफसी ने 37 अंक हासिल कर लिए और वे लीग टेबल में तीसरे स्थान पर पहुंच गए। वहीं, चेन्नईयिन एफसी 22 मैचों में केवल 24 अंक ही जुटा पाई और उनकी प्लेऑफ़ की उम्मीदें खत्म हो गईं।
बेंगलुरु एफसी के कोच गेरार्ड ज़ारागोज़ा ने कहा कि उनकी टीम ने पिछले दो मैचों में छह अंक जीते हैं और अब उनका लक्ष्य प्लेऑफ़ में जगह बनाना है। वहीं, चेन्नईयिन एफसी के कोच ओवेन कोयल ने कहा कि उनकी टीम को मैच जीतने के लिए मजबूत रक्षा करनी होगी।
इस मैच के साथ ही बेंगलुरु एफसी ने घरेलू मैदान पर चेन्नईयिन एफसी के खिलाफ लगातार पांचवीं जीत दर्ज की।
