この研究は、森林分断化が鳥類の移動を制限し、特に森林特化種にとって深刻な影響を与えることを示している。森林特化種は、特定の樹木や微気候、森林構造に依存しており、分断化された環境では生存が困難であることが明らかになった。研究者らは、このような分断化の影響を軽減するため、森林間の回廊や連結を確保する必要性を指摘している。
