デリー-NCRでは、月曜日の朝にマグニチュード4.0の地震が発生しました。国立地震学センター（NCS）によると、地震の震源はデリーのダウラ・クアン地区の地下5キロメートルにありました。地震は朝5時36分に発生し、デリー、ノイダ、ガジアバード、グルガオン、ファリダバードを含むNCR全体で揺れが感じられました。地震中に大きな音も聞こえ、人々は慌てて家から飛び出しました。

地震後、ソーシャルメディアでは人々が自分の経験を共有しました。多くの人々が、揺れが非常に強くて目が覚めたと報告しました。しかし、現時点では、いかなる損害や人的被害の報告はありません。
ダウラ・クアン地区は地震帯IVに位置し、中程度から強い地震に対して敏感とされています。以前、2015年にこの地域でマグニチュード3.3の地震が記録されました。専門家によると、この地域は2〜3年ごとに小さな地震を経験しています。
