บริษัทเทคโนโลยีจีน DeepSeek ได้เปิดตัวแชทบอต AI ที่มีชื่อว่า DeepSeek ซึ่งสร้างความตื่นตระหนกให้กับตลาดหุ้นสหรัฐฯ และยุโรป หลังแชทบอตดังกล่าวสามารถทำงานได้ดีเทียบเท่ากับคู่แข่งในสหรัฐฯ แต่ใช้ต้นทุนการพัฒนาที่ต่ำกว่ามาก แชทบอต DeepSeek ถูกพัฒนาขึ้นด้วยต้นทุนเพียง 6 ล้านดอลลาร์สหรัฐฯ เทียบกับเงินลงทุนหลายพันล้านดอลลาร์ของบริษัท AI ชั้นนำในสหรัฐฯ เช่น OpenAI และ Google
