BJP這次勝利的背後有多個因素。該黨在德里的各個種姓和宗教群體中建立了自己的影響力。22名OBC候選人中有16人贏得了選舉。此外，BJP在哈里亞納和東部地區的選民中也獲得了廣泛支持。該黨在旁遮普和錫克選民的地區也表現良好。然而，在瓦爾米基和賈特選民的地區，BJP仍有改進的空間。
總理納倫德拉·莫迪將選舉結果描述為“發展、願景和信任”的勝利。他表示，德里人民選擇了BJP來推動發展，該黨將履行這一責任。BJP的全國主席JP·納達也將這次勝利歸功於黨員的努力。
對AAP來說，這次選舉令人失望。該黨的全國召集人兼前首席部長阿爾溫德·凱杰里瓦爾在新德里選區以約4000票之差輸給了BJP的帕爾維什·維爾馬。凱杰里瓦爾在祝賀BJP的同時表示，他的黨將扮演建設性反對派的角色。AAP的高級領導人兼前副首席部長馬尼什·西索迪亞也在江普拉選區以675票之差輸給了BJP的塔爾文德·辛格·馬爾瓦。
BJP現在正在準備在德里組建政府。黨內有多個名字被討論為首席部長職位的候選人，其中包括帕爾維什·維爾馬、維金德·古普塔和薩蒂什·烏帕德亞。BJP宣布，在第一次內閣會議上將提交CAG報告，並成立一個特別調查小組（SIT）來調查腐敗案件。
這次選舉中，女性代表的比例有所下降。新議會中只有五名女性議員，而2020年這一數字為八名。新議會的平均年齡為52歲，其中最年長的議員是73歲的蒂拉克·拉姆·古普塔，最年輕的是31歲的烏芒·巴賈傑。
