Norwegian Cruise Line has announced the cancellation of 38 cruises across three of its ships—Norwegian Jewel, Norwegian Star, and Norwegian Dawn—affecting itineraries scheduled from November 2025 to April 2026. The decision, attributed to fleet redeployment, is expected to disappoint many travelers eager for unique journeys.
The affected sailings on the Norwegian Jewel include all voyages between November 23, 2025, and April 5, 2026, which were primarily Caribbean and Bahamas cruises departing from Tampa. Similarly, the Norwegian Star will not operate its entire season in South America and Antarctica, with 11 scheduled cruises canceled from November 20, 2025, to April 14, 2026. The Norwegian Dawn has also had all voyages canceled between November 2, 2025, and April 12, 2026, which included varied itineraries throughout Africa and Asia.
Norwegian Cruise Line will ensure all affected passengers receive a full refund to their original payment method. Additionally, a 10% Future Cruise Credit (FCC) will be provided to compensate for the cancellations, allowing travelers to apply it towards future sailings. The cruise line has assured that commissions will be protected for travel advisors on bookings paid in full.
The cancellations come as the cruise industry continues to adjust post-pandemic, with Norwegian Cruise Line having a history of altering itineraries in response to market demand and operational challenges. Despite the setbacks, guests are encouraged to contact the cruise line directly to explore alternative travel arrangements.
