Allen expressed readiness for the opportunity, emphasizing a “next-man-up mentality” as the 49ers face a crucial matchup to keep their playoff hopes alive.
In addition to Purdy, Bosa, recovering from oblique and hip injuries, has also been ruled out, which significantly impacts the team’s defense. Other players sidelined include cornerback Charvarius Ward and several others, while left tackle Trent Williams is listed as questionable.
The 49ers are currently 5-5, and with the Packers holding a 7-3 record, this game poses a significant challenge as San Francisco aims to stay competitive in the postseason race. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:25 p.m. ET at Lambeau Field.
