American Express Launches Limited-Time Rewards Multiplier and MGM Offers

American Express has announced a new limited-time offer under its Rewards Multiplier and Member Get Member (MGM) programs for its credit cardholders. The Rewards Multiplier program, running from January 24 to January 28, 2025, allows cardholders to earn 25 Membership Rewards points for every Rs 100 spent on eligible purchases. This offer applies to over 65 brands, including Apple, Nykaa, Tanishq, Flipkart, and MakeMyTrip. Additionally, the MGM program, active from January 16 to February 27, 2025, rewards both the referrer and the referred individual with bonus Membership Rewards points when a new card is approved and used.

The MGM program offers varying rewards based on the card type. For example, referring a friend to apply for the American Express Gold Card earns the referrer 4,000 bonus points upon approval, while the referred individual receives 2,000 bonus points after spending Rs 5,000 within 90 days of card approval. The Rewards Multiplier program replaces the standard 5X or 2X points with the accelerated 25 points per Rs 100 spent during the promotional period. However, purchases of e-vouchers are excluded from this offer.

American Express also highlighted that Membership Rewards points do not expire but may be forfeited under certain conditions outlined in the program’s terms and conditions. The company continues to focus on enhancing its premium value propositions, targeting millennials and Gen Z consumers, and expanding its international presence.
