The card, graded a perfect 10 by Professional Sports Authenticators, is set to be auctioned in March, with proceeds benefiting Los Angeles wildfire relief funds. Skenes, the 2023 No. 1 MLB draft pick, had a standout rookie season, earning NL Rookie of the Year honors and finishing third in Cy Young voting. The Pirates expressed disappointment but extended a goodwill offer to the collector for a special day at PNC Park. Meanwhile, Dunne, Skenes’ girlfriend, remains supportive, having previously offered her own incentives to secure the card. The auction is expected to draw significant interest from collectors and fans alike.
