The No. 2-ranked Duke Blue Devils men’s basketball team (16-2, 8-0 ACC) extended their winning streak to 12 games with a hard-fought 63-56 victory over Wake Forest (15-4, 7-1 ACC) on Saturday at Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Duke’s defense, ranked second nationally in adjusted defensive efficiency, held Wake Forest to just 56 points, well below their season average. Freshman phenom Cooper Flagg led the Blue Devils with a dominant performance, contributing 19 points, 10 rebounds, and 4 blocks. His defensive presence, combined with the efforts of Khaman Maluach and Kon Knueppel, stifled Wake Forest’s offense, particularly in the second half.

Wake Forest, riding a six-game winning streak, struggled to find consistency on offense. Senior guard Hunter Sallis, averaging 19.2 points per game, was limited to 14 points on 7-of-19 shooting.
