Kendrick Lamar will headline the 2025 Super Bowl halftime show on February 9 at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, with frequent collaborator SZA joining him as a special guest. The announcement was made through a playful promotional video released by Lamar and Apple Music, where SZA surprises Lamar by dousing him with a blue drink, reminiscent of a Gatorade celebration. The duo, who have a history of successful collaborations, including the Oscar-nominated “All the Stars” and recent tracks like “Gloria” and “Luther,” will also embark on a joint 19-city North American tour, the “Grand National Tour,” starting in April.
Lamar, a 17-time Grammy winner, enters the performance with seven nominations at the upcoming Grammy Awards, including nods for his tracks “Like That” and “Not Like Us.” SZA, a four-time Grammy winner, is also nominated for two awards this year. The halftime show will be co-executive produced by Roc Nation and Emmy-winning producer Jesse Collins, with creative direction handled by pgLang, a company co-founded by Lamar and Dave Free.
This marks Lamar’s second Super Bowl halftime appearance, following his featured performance during Dr. Dre’s 2022 show.
