Kendrick Lamar and SZA to Headline Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show
Kendrick Lamar and SZA are set to headline the 2025 Super Bowl LIX halftime show, marking a highly anticipated collaboration between the two Grammy-winning artists. The performance, scheduled for February 9 at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, will be Lamar’s second appearance at the Super Bowl, following his 2022 performance alongside Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, and Mary J. Blige. SZA, a frequent collaborator with Lamar, will join him on stage, as teased in a recent Apple Music trailer where she playfully douses him with a cooler of blue liquid.
Lamar, a 17-time Grammy winner, is known for hits like “Humble,” “Like That,” and “Not Like Us,” while SZA, a four-time Grammy winner, brings her chart-topping tracks such as “Kill Bill” and “Saturn.” The duo has previously collaborated on songs like “All the Stars” and “Luther,” and their joint “Grand National Tour” is set to kick off in April 2025.
In addition to the halftime show, the Super Bowl will feature performances by Jon Batiste, who will sing the national anthem, and Lauren Daigle with Trombone Shorty, who will perform “America the Beautiful.” Ledisi, another New Orleans native, will perform “Lift Every Voice and Sing,” often referred to as the Black national anthem.
The halftime show is co-executed by Roc Nation and Emmy-winning producer Jesse Collins, with creative direction from pgLang, Lamar’s creative company. This year’s Super Bowl promises a star-studded lineup, continuing the tradition of high-energy, memorable performances on football’s biggest stage.
