Final Destination Bloodlines; The Horror Franchise Returns in 2025

The horror franchise “Final Destination” is making a comeback with its sixth installment, Final Destination Bloodlines, set to hit theaters on May 16, 2025. The film, directed by Zach Lipovsky and Adam Stein, marks the first entry in the series since 2011’s Final Destination 5. The teaser trailer, released by Warner Bros. Pictures, showcases the franchise’s signature over-the-top death sequences, including a tattoo artist meeting a gruesome end via his nose ring and a ceiling fan.

The story follows Stefanie (Kaitlyn Santa Juana), a college student plagued by violent nightmares, as she seeks to break the cycle of death that threatens her family. The cast includes Teo Briones, Richard Harmon, Owen Patrick Joyner, Rya Kihlstedt, Anna Lore, Brec Bassinger, and the late Tony Todd, who reprises his iconic role as William Bludworth. The film promises to revisit the origins of Death’s twisted sense of justice, a hallmark of the series.

The original Final Destination, released in 2000, starred Devon Sawa, Ali Larter, Seann William Scott, and Kerr Smith, and became a cult classic for its inventive death traps and suspenseful storytelling. The franchise has since grossed over $665 million worldwide. Final Destination Bloodlines is produced by Jon Watts, Craig Perry, Sheila Hanahan Taylor, Dianne McGunigle, and Toby Emmerich, with a script by Guy Busick and Lori Evans Taylor.

Fans of the series can expect the same high-stakes tension and elaborate death sequences that have defined the franchise, as Final Destination Bloodlines aims to reignite the horror hit’s legacy.
