First Trailer for Jurassic World; Rebirth Unveils New Dinosaur Adventure
The first trailer for Jurassic World: Rebirth has been released, offering a glimpse into the next chapter of the iconic dinosaur franchise. Directed by Gareth Edwards (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story), the film stars Scarlett Johansson, Mahershala Ali, Jonathan Bailey, and Rupert Friend. Set five years after the events of Jurassic World Dominion (2022), the story follows a team of scientists and adventurers tasked with retrieving genetic samples from three colossal dinosaurs—aquatic, terrestrial, and aerial—whose DNA could hold the key to a life-saving drug for humanity.
Johansson plays Zora Bennett, a covert operations expert leading the mission, while Ali portrays her trusted team leader, Duncan Kincaid. Bailey takes on the role of paleontologist Dr. Henry Loomis, and Friend stars as Martin Krebs, a pharmaceutical representative. The film also features a shipwrecked family, led by Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, who become entangled in the dangerous quest.
The trailer promises a return to the franchise’s roots, blending awe-inspiring visuals with the terror of rampaging dinosaurs. Screenwriter David Koepp, who penned the original Jurassic Park and its sequel The Lost World, emphasized a commitment to real science, humor, and continuity with the previous films.
Jurassic World: Rebirth is set to hit theaters globally on July 2, 2025, under Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment. The film aims to recapture the magic of the original while introducing new thrills for a new generation.
