Temperatures are forecast to rise above freezing by Thursday morning, transitioning the wintry mix to plain rain, which will taper off by mid-morning.
Residents are advised to prepare for potential power outages caused by gusty winds and ice accumulation on trees and power lines. PennDOT urges drivers to exercise caution, particularly on bridges and elevated surfaces, and to keep electronic devices charged in case of emergencies. The storm system is expected to move out by Thursday afternoon, with temperatures rebounding to near 60 degrees. However, another round of wintry weather is possible Saturday morning before conditions quiet down Sunday.
